About us

A savings publication, not a sales pitch

SaveGuide is an independent consumer information website, founded in 2026, that helps people spend less on the everyday costs of life.

Read, compare, decide. In that order.

Most money advice is either too vague to act on or quietly trying to sell you something. SaveGuide was started to be neither. We write the kind of practical guides we wanted for our own households: how to read a utility bill, how to compare unit prices, how to review an insurance policy before it renews, and how to build a budget that survives a real month.

What we publish

Our library is organized into six topic desks: Budgeting & Money Basics, Household Bills & Utilities, Groceries & Shopping Smarter, Insurance & Home Expenses, Internet, Mobile & Subscriptions, Transportation Costs. Each desk has in-depth guides and step-by-step checklists, and our articles cover seasonal topics like holiday spending, back-to-school costs, and keeping a home warm in winter. We also build free, browser-based tools that help with everyday math.

How we stay independent

  • We don’t sell anything. No products, plans, or policies, and no applications.
  • We don’t refer or connect readers with providers, agents, or companies, and we don’t share your information with them.
  • We don’t name favorites. Our guides teach you how to compare options yourself, using your own bills and needs.
  • Everything is free to read, with no account or sign-up required.

A note on advice

SaveGuide publishes general educational information. It isn’t financial, legal, tax, or insurance advice for your situation. For decisions about a specific policy or account, check your own documents and talk to your provider or a qualified professional.
