Frequently Asked Questions

01What is SaveGuide?

SaveGuide is an independent consumer information website. We publish free, plain-language guides, articles, and calculators about budgeting, household bills, groceries, insurance basics, phone and internet plans, and transportation costs.

02Does SaveGuide sell anything or connect me with companies?

No. We don’t sell products, plans, or policies, we don’t take applications, and we don’t refer or connect readers with providers. Our guides explain how to compare options yourself.

03Do I need an account to read the guides or use the tools?

No. Every guide, article, and tool is free to use without signing up. Our tools run entirely in your browser, and nothing you type into them is saved or sent anywhere.

04Is the information on SaveGuide financial advice?

No. Our content is general and educational. For decisions about a specific account, policy, or contract, review your own documents and talk with your provider or a qualified professional.

05What do the Get Updates sign-ups include?

Email updates about new guides and tools. You can also choose text messages, using two separate optional checkboxes: account and service texts (sign-up confirmations, preference changes, and alerts when a new guide or tool is published) and marketing texts (seasonal savings reminders, new free tools, and featured SaveGuide guides).

06How often will I get text messages?

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out at any time, and you’ll get one final confirmation message.

07Is signing up for texts required?

No. Both text consent boxes are unchecked by default and optional. Consent is never required to read our guides, use our tools, or purchase anything.

08Will you share my phone number?

No. We don’t sell, rent, or share your phone number or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing. See our Privacy Policy for details.

09How do I stop receiving messages?

Reply STOP to any text to opt out of text messages. To stop emails, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or contact us and we’ll remove you.

10How can I suggest a topic or report an error?

Use our Contact page. We review every correction and regularly add new guides based on reader questions.
